Cage Security has released its next generation of internet protocol-based (IP) security monitoring systems.

The security monitoring system is based on Emizon’s Global 21 signalling service. The dual-path system plugs into the Internet, but also uses the Optus General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) wireless data network as a back-up, ensuring security monitoring stays intact 24/7 even if the internet service crashes.

The service is suitable for small, medium and large commercial operations, as well as homes, and is fully compliant with the latest security monitoring standards.

The system works through alarm panel hardware which connects into the customer’s existing broadband network and links to Cage Security’s back-to-base National Monitoring Centre.

As soon as the alarm system detects tampering, intrusion or a power failure, it sends a signal directly to the National Monitoring Centre, where operators will call the client company, phone the alarmed premises, alert the police or ambulance service or send out a guard patrol.
