Fluorescent lighting product company Ilum-a-Lite has announced a new director and plans to expand the company by growing product and service offerings and by accessing new international markets.

Former chief financial officer, and executive director, in the Alinta Group, Peter Brook said:

“A key aim for the board for the remainder of 2011 and into next year will be to expand the revenue of the company by growing product and service offerings across its domestic customer base and accessing new international markets through additional export partnerships.”

“We expect to be able to capitalise on international market growth, particularly in the US and Europe, while continuing our push into Asia, South Africa and New Zealand. We will be ensuring our local operations are primed to leverage this opportunity.

“It is an exciting time to be joining Ilum-a-Lite. Whilst the company celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, its growth has accelerated in the last couple of years. Business has never been better and the prospect for further growth is encouraging.

“Ilum-a-Lite’s venture capital partnership with Cleantech Ventures, announced this year, has seen the company expand its operations, bring in additional specialist staff, develop new solutions and progress some other new opportunities.

“As Ilum-a-Lite progresses through this growth phase, the company will remain focused on offering solutions that provide organisations with energy cost reductions,” he said.
