The Property Industry Foundation (PIF) has raised a total of around $10,000 for children in need from its charity auction.

Auction fee donations were made by CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang La Salle and Cushman & Wakefield, with three properties sold on the day and the others under negotiation.

Colliers International is also participating in the fundraising event and will hold an auction on June 9 with an expected portfolio of 16 properties around NSW.

A total of 22 properties were auctioned at the event with CB Richard Ellis listing17 properties, Jones Lang La Salle with four and one from Cushman & Wakefield.

A combination of CBD and inner city offices and retail spaces were up for auction.

Results from the auction included 523 George Street, Windsor, selling for $612,000 and a 624 sqm retail strip comprising three shops and a Childcare Centre at 46 Kookaburra Road, Prestons fetched $930,000.

Proceeds from the auction will go towards a Barnados building project at Cranebrook currently being built by Watpac.

Since PIF’s inception in 1996, more than $12 million has been raised for a range of PIF approved charities through its core fundraising activities.
