Leading Australian bathroom and kitchen brands Caroma, Fowler, Dorf and Clark have played a key part in the successful reality television program ‘From The Ground Up’ which screened on the Ten Network from October 2010 to January 2011.

As major sponsors of the television show, each brand supplied products for the four homes, which the contestants built from scratch at Murray’s Beach in NSW.

Four couples selected from a diverse array of product ranges including toilet suites, baths, mixer taps and sinks to fit out the homes.

“I think this show is great not only for builders and renovators, but also those interested in interior decoration and design,” says ‘From the Ground Up’ contestant and qualified interior designer, Tamryn Kyselov.

“We were really given a lot of freedom to pick and choose our own concepts.”

Four different styles of bathrooms were designed for the homes by each of the four couples, along distinct design themes. These themes were ‘Nester’, ‘Entertainer’, ‘Investor’ and ‘Resort’.

Winners of the television series, Cam and Shanina, designed their home around the ‘Nester’ theme. Creating a home for those who have earned their chance to relax and enjoy what life has to offer, Cam and Shanina opted for a classic yet elegant design in their bathroom.

The couple created a well appointed and stylish main bathroom, using the Caroma Caravelle 2000 toilet suite which incorporates the Smartflush water saving technology and boasts easy to clean rounded contours, paired with the matching Caravelle vanity basin. Dorf Maxum basin and bath tap sets were included in the bathroom for their affordable style.

Keeping the classic theme consistent but with an extra feel of luxury, a Caroma Geo wall faced toilet suite and above counter basin was chosen for the ensuite bathroom.

In the kitchen, a minimalist look was created by the Clark Epure Evolution sink coupled with the sharp, intense lines of the Dorf Jovian sink mixer.

Executive producer of ‘FromThe Ground Up’, Stuart Stevens, said he was thrilled for such well known and much loved Australian brands to be a part of the show.
