Two unique short films have launched to support the unprecedented contingent of Australian architectural talent taking on the world at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) – view the films below.

The Australian Institute of Architects in collaboration with Creative Agent, Lindy Johnson and filmmaker Alex Chomicz have produced the films, which feature 15 of the short listed Australian firms and are titled A Series – Australian Architects on Film.

WAF is the world’s largest festival dedicated to celebrating and sharing architectural excellence from across the globe, being held in Singapore this week (3-5 October).

Thirty-two Australian-based firms have been shortlisted for the awards. Of the 301 shortlisted entries from around the world, 50 are by Australian-based firms.

With a spotlight on the southern hemisphere, the architects share their passion, energy and fresh approach in the films revealing how climatic and cultural similarities make them leaders in sustainable design in the thriving Asia Pacific marketplace.
