Australian design practice Architectus will work with British architects WilkinsonEyre on the proposed Queensbridge Hotel Tower project being developed by Crown Resorts Limited and Schiavello Group.

WilkinsonEyre won the international design competition for the proposed new six-star hotel and residential tower located in Melbourne’s Southbank precinct, with Architectus selected to work on the project as Executive Architect.

The appointment is the latest in a series of international collaborations where Architectus has been utilised through alliances with Pritzker prize-winning Japanese architectural and design firm SANAA as Executive Architect on the Art Gallery of NSW Sydney Modern Project, and London-based Make Architects on the Wynyard Place project.

Architectus Managing Principal Matthew Smith said they looked forward to working with WilkinsonEyre, known for their bold, beautiful and intelligent architecture.

The proposed Queensbridge Hotel Tower development remains subject to planning approval.
