Some of Australia’s leading architecture firms have been appointed by developer Glenvill Group to design various projects at their Yarra Bend site in Melbourne.

The architect commissions are for projects on the Eastern side of the Yarra Bend development, with Fender Katsalidis, Rothelowman, DKO, Point Architects and Conrad Architects appointed to design various projects within the first precincts. Glenvill has also commissioned Occulus, MDG, Tract and Eckersley for landscape architecture.

Located just 6.5km from the CBD, the Yarra Bend project is one of Melbourne’s most significant urban renewal residential developments, second only in size to Fisherman’s Bend. The 16.5-hectare riverfront land, previously inaccessible to the public, will be transformed into a new suburb.

Emphasising the importance of world-class architecture and landscape design to the development, YarraBend Development Director, Travers Nuttall said the project will be designed in collaboration with leading award-winning architectural teams to ensure the best architectural outcomes and public realm amenity.

Glenvill Group recently received excellent response to the release of their Parkview Townhouses designed by Conrad Architects, with 95 per cent of the homes sold within three hours. This response proved that the future residents of Yarra Bend valued beautiful design and wanted to be part of the precinct’s vision.

Park Precinct, River Quarter and Circa Building are the key precincts on the Eastern side of the YarraBend development.

Park Precinct

Located on the Eastern boundary of YarraBend fronting Parkview Road, overlooking Alphington Park and just a few minutes’ walk to Yarra River, the Park Precinct offers premium freestanding homes designed by Point Architects and Rothelowman as well as townhouses designed by Conrad Architects.

River Quarter

To be designed by Fender Katsalidis, River Quarter offers riverfront homes featuring various luxury home styles with open entertaining decks on the upper level looking directly over Yarra River.

Circa Building

Situated on the corner of Heidelberg Road and Parkview Road, the Circa Building is being designed by DKO Architects and will offer apartments within walking distance to Alphington Train Station.

Currently offering house and land packages, YarraBend will welcome residents from 2018, and the entire project is due for completion in five to seven years.
