The Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) has opened voting for the annual People’s Choice Award, the popular vote category within the 2017 National Architecture Awards. The People’s Choice Award is specific to residential architecture, and provides an opportunity for the public to select their favourite Australian home.

Voters are invited to choose from a shortlist of 15 finalists, selected by the AIA from the list of more than 250 residential projects that were submitted to this year’s awards. Along with votes, participants are asked to provide a short statement of 25 words or less, detailing why the selected project is their favourite. According to the AIA, these descriptions will put participants in the running to win “some fantastic prizes”.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award is open until 5pm on Friday 27 October 2017. The winning project will be announced alongside the rest of the National Architecture Awards winners at a ceremony to be held in Canberra on Thursday 2 November.

More information and access to voting can be found here.
