A new observation deck at the 360 Chicago tower tilts at a 30 degree angle to suspend visitors over the city of Chicago.
Located on the 94th floor of the sky scraper, the ‘Tilt’ attraction holds up to eight people in separate bays on a steel and glass platform.
Once in place, three hydraulic lifts slowly tilt the platform 30 degrees from the building, gradually descending the participants to downward-facing views of the ground below.
Tilt took one year to engineer and includes three layers of fully tempered glass that can withstand the high wind speeds present 1000 feet up in the air.
