Members of the Australian Institute of Architects are invited to send in their nominations for the 2015 DARCH Horse Awards, which recognises and celebrates outstanding contributions by non-architects to creating high quality built environments.

Now in its fourth year, the DARCH Horse Awards are given to a person or persons nominated by any Australian Institute of Architects member. Nominees will have made an outstanding contribution to architectural practice or an architectural outcome, through a collaborative, enriching, supporting or visionary pursuit of their own field of expertise.

DARCH Horse Awards are given across several categories including Government Authority; Builder; Client; Developer; Consultant; Specialist Contractor; and Urban Provocateur.

Winners will be selected on the basis of a two-stage nomination process. Stage 1 requires the nominating Australian Institute of Architects member to submit a 150-word summary of reasons for nomination. Stage 2 requires the nominee to submit a more detailed description of their contribution to furthering the architectural vision of the project/s for which they have been nominated.

The 2015 DARCH Horse Awards Jury comprises of Sam Crawford - Director, Sam Crawford Architects; Kati Westlake - Leader Urban Design, Parramatta City Council; and Brendan Murray - Associate, Johnson Pilton Walker.

Stage 1 and 2 nominations are now open. Stage 1 nominations will close on 23 October 2015; and Stage 2 nominations will close on 06 November 2015. The 2015 DARCH Horse Awards will be held on Wednesday 25 November 2015.

Supported by Principal Partner Austral Bricks, the DARCH Horse Awards will once again be held at Austral Brick's CBD Design Studio.
