The 2014 Good Design Festival will be held as part of VIVID Sydney, a festival of light, music and ideas, from 23 May to 9 June.

Shining the spotlight on “all that is good design”, the 2014 Good Design Festival will feature a two-day international design conference at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), a public design showcase in Martin Place featuring the 2014 Good Design Selection, and the opening of the Good Design Lounge with projects from the best young designers in the country:

2014 Good Design Forum, 29-39 May, MCA

The forum will explore ‘prosperity’ as an object of design, with a focus on how enterprising leaders are shaping the future of their organisations through design-led innovation.

Speakers and award-winning designers from Australia, France, USA, South Africa, Korea and New Zealand will share how they have helped clients translate customer needs into market success through the employment of design thinking and methodologies.

Good Design Lounge, 23 May-9 June, The Rocks (Free event)

Located in the Rocks area in Sydney, the Good Design Lounge will feature young Australian design talents, including a selection of finalists in the 2014 Hills Young Australian Design Awards.

Good Design Selection Exhibition, 23 May-9 June, Martin Place (Free event)

The 2014 Good Design Selection is an outdoor exhibition showcasing the best in cutting-edge design and innovation from Australia and the world across 15 main categories.

The latest domestic products, consumer electronics, and business and industrial equipment will all be on show.

These events will culminate in the Good Design Awards Gala Night, which will be held at the White Bay Terminal in Sydney on Wednesday, 28 May 2014.
