A mixed-use development called the Nova, designed by the Buchan Group will feature a hotel, retail and residential apartments and will be opposite Monash University in Clayton, Victoria.
According to the Financial Review the development is set to cost around $600 million and will be the biggest development by well known Melbourne developer Nick Saraceno.
The area dedicated for the precinct is 22, 000sqm and will feature provisions for a supermarket, a selection of retail stores, cafes and 'alfresco style' informal eating areas, as well as space for a factory outlet centre.
There will also be 51 town house style units, 218 apartments, 360 studio apartments and 223 hotel apartments in 8 levels as well as underground parking.
A roof top plaza will also be incorporated along with a pool and spa, a gym as well as a BBQ and seating area.
