    Altro flooring inhibits growth of MRSA superbug

    Residential to fall but other sectors growing, says BIS Shrapnel

    The residential building market is strong but peaking, and looks set to fall back over the coming year, according to BIS Shrapnel. Their latest economic forecast has shied away from labelling this a “slump” for the building and construction industry, however, predicting strong growth during 2003/04 in non-residential and commercial construction.

    Penetrating sealer

    During the construction of a hardware and home furnishing store in Gisborne, New Zealand, the usual damp proof membrane under the floor slab was dispensed with and instead the concrete was waterproofed with Aquron penetrating waterproofing sealer from Allcrete Industries.


    The right approach

    Utilising industrial climbing techniques developed over many years, the team at Abtech Industrial rigged a triangulated “up and over” rope system to allow safe access during the application of a waterproof coating to the domed roof of the Cyprus Turkish Islamic mosque in Sunshine, Victoria.
