Registrations are now open for the 2018 Bushfire Building Expo and Australian Bushfire Building Conference.

The Bushfire Building Expo will be an exhibition showcase of leading technology, products and professional services necessary to build in a bushfire zone.

The industry conference will explore the key issues around planning, designing and building in a bushfire-prone area. The conference is designed for builders, architects, landscapers, designers, planners, bushfire consultants and any other related industry members. Members of relevant industry bodies such as FPAA, AIA, HIA and MBA can earn Continuous Professional Development points by attending the conference.

This year’s conference will feature presentations, Q&A sessions and panel discussions with industry leaders including Rob Rogers, Deputy Commissioner of the Rural Fire Service, and researchers from CSIRO, QUT and Western Sydney University.

The conference will take place on 6 – 7 September 2018 at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, Leura, NSW. The building expo and a public community forum will take place on Saturday 8 September at the Blue Mountains Community Theatre & Hub, Springwood, NSW.
