Brookfield Multiplex won the Employer of the Year Award at the inaugural Women in Industry Awards.

Brookfield Multiplex employee Kylie Judd was shortlisted for the Rising Star award, recognising her exceptional talent within the industry.

The Women in Industry Awards recognises the achievements of women working within the mining, engineering, manufacturing and process control industries, with a view to raise the profile of women within these segments, as well as promote excellence.

Brookfield Multiplex won the award for their commitment to successfully attract, train and retain women through innovative and unique strategies, as well as their overall approach to gender diversity.

Brookfield Multiplex has continuously focussed on identifying lasting, integrated solutions that drive sustainable change for women in their organisation and in the construction industry as a whole.

Mr John Flecker, CEO of Brookfield Multiplex commented that the company is working towards a goal to have a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities in which they operate, both locally and globally. Brookfield Multiplex has increased female representation in their Executive team from 0 to 33% over the last three years.

A West Australian employee, Judd will spend two years building on her experience in the Dubai business, before returning to Australia, a further reflection of the opportunities for growth and development available within Brookfield Multiplex.

The Women in Industry Awards was organised by industry publications Australian Mining, Manufacturers’ Monthly and PACE.
