WoodSolutions is hosting a free seminar to cover the latest developments in lightweight timber frame and mass timber construction.

The COVID safe face-to-face seminar will be held in Canberra on 23rd June 2021.

To be addressed by various speakers at the forefront of contemporary construction methodologies, the free seminar will include three case studies on the use of mass timber in a mid-rise office building and detailed insight into the Marie Reay Teaching Centre, the location of the seminar.

The speakers’ line-up includes Sean Bull, XLam Australia; George Dolezal, Meyer Timber; Andrew Dunn, TDA; Andreas Luzzi, Raico Pacific; David Rowlinson, PlanetARK; and Jeremy Tompson, Lendlease.

These presentations will be followed by a discussion on new products and engineered timber in lightweight timber-framed construction such as off-site manufactured elements including, but not limited to cassette flooring, bracing and stairs.

The seminar will close with a presentation on the use of timber in wellness designs and understanding NCC’s performance-based design brief.  Also available will be suppliers and providers of services to this building sector.
