Designers often select timber flooring based on the colour palette of their design and available colours. While colour is an important element of the design process, there is much more to timber floors than just tones and shades.

1. Colours can be personalised

Timber flooring colours can be customised to suit any colour palette conceptualised by the designer. Style Timber Floor recently provided the flooring for Frasers’ Ed.Square project where two colours were customised to suit the build’s existing colour palette. This project originally had specified timber look tiles; however, when Frasers found that potential purchasers were willing to pay a premium for timber flooring, it was decided to install timber in their apartments, terraces and townhouses. Since the colour scheme was already finalised, HDR approached Style Timber for timber floor colours that matched the palettes. Instead, Style Timber created two new colours to suit their colour palettes.

2. Anything can be achieved with engineered timber

Engineered timber is as versatile as solid timber in application. What you can do with solid timber, can be achieved in engineered timber. Clients often approach Style Timber, wanting their designs to come to life in engineered oak. DKO Architects engaged the company to create open tread frameless staircases using engineered timber. Where previously staircases, and especially open tread staircases, could only be achieved using solid timber, Style Timber has shown the capability to create these beautiful, modern designs using engineered timber.

Style Timber is passionate about taking care of the whole process for their clients, liaising with designers, developers, builders, engineers and installers to ensure that the designs are brought to life and meet all technical requirements and standards.

4. New Italian timber range bringing a point of difference

Style Timber recently partnered with 100% Italian made timber manufacturer, Cadorin to bring Australian designers and developers beautiful quality Italian timber. Cadorin has been expertly created by the same family for over 100 years; not only are their products 100% Italian made, they are also environment- friendly. Cadorin prides themselves on their holistic approach to producing timber and carefully assesses the impact of their work on the ecosystem by using production methods that respect nature. Cadorin’s products are completely formaldehyde-free, and use natural oils as well as vinyl glues that are completely non-toxic.
