Wall linings featuring perforated Key-Ply Euro Birch plywood from Keystone Linings were installed in the new multipurpose centre at Kildare College to achieve optimum noise reduction.

Designed by Walter Brooke and Associates and built by Sarah Constructions Pty Ltd in 2018, Kildare College’s multipurpose centre includes a gymnasium and music room where perforated Key-Ply Euro Birch plywood was installed for sound insulation.

Perforated Key-Ply panels are engineered to create a natural and organic timber appearance. A variety of aesthetics can be created with pre-finishes including metallic, wood grain and pearl effects in a variety of perforation patterns and borders. The inherent acoustic qualities of timber can be combined with comprehensive perforation techniques and backing materials to achieve optimum noise reduction, especially when used with K100 backing.

Depending on the open area, Key-Ply Euro Birch plywood in a slotted or perforated pattern can be an excellent sound insulator. The acoustic qualities of timber can be optimised by Keystone Acoustics’ compressed perforation techniques and backing materials. This option creates a natural timber appearance that is often chosen for its warmth, beauty and natural acoustic properties.

Key-Ply perforated plywood panels add organic elegance to any space, with their powerful acoustic qualities – thanks to a close-grained plywood structure – providing sound insulation to further enhance the ambience.

Key-Ply perforated plywood is perfect for interior and exterior walls and ceilings, including high traffic area walls, high-impact wall linings in shopping centres and hotels, as well as hallways, auditoriums, theatres and studios.
