Thermofilm Australia proudly supported the 2015 HIA Victorian Housing Awards last November at the Crown Palladium as part of their growing sponsorship program. The awards program recognises and celebrates the highest standards of workmanship, design, visual appeal, innovation and environmental sustainability of HIA Victorian home builders.
Thermofilm’s Envirotouch switch range was the sponsor of the GreenSmart Energy Efficiency award category, while Heatstrip sponsored the Outdoor Kitchen Design award. Each table at the awards ceremony featured Bliss LED lighting products to add style and elegance to the gala event at the Crown Casino.
The awards were presented by Thermofilm General Manager Steve Carroll.
The Envirotouch GreenSmart Energy Efficiency category was won by Ecoliv Buildings for a modular home set in regional Victoria. Stepping beyond standard residential construction concepts, the home uses two prefabricated modules to achieve cost, time and resource efficiencies for affordable off-the-grid living.
Hargreaves Joinery won the Heatstrip Outdoor Kitchen category for a functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor kitchen that showcased innovative use of materials. Design highlights include Alifrost aluminium framed doors with UV resistant acrylic panels providing a depth of colour, while ensuring the joinery withstands exposure to the elements for years; and Laminex PV LITE panel cabinet construction providing the practicality, water resistance and easy-to-clean properties required for such a project.
