A modular solution from Sayfa Group met the client’s requirements for a system that would provide safe access to workers on the manufacturing floor.

Regarded as the largest manufacturer and exporter of residential and commercial carpets in Australasia, Godfrey Hirst Carpets sought a system that would enable their workers safe access over a complex conveyor belt system at their plant in Geelong, VIC. The designed systems had to allow workers access, and installed within extremely constricted spaces.

The solution, therefore, needed to be flexible, allowing minor on-site changes without the need for hot works and fabrication. An additional challenge was the need for the systems to be adapted to enable seamless integration between the client’s existing platforms and walls.

Many design drawings for multiple configurations were completed to ensure that the systems being installed met the client’s requirements and would offer a high level of ease of use for the operators.

Installed by Lunn Sheetmetal, KOMBI’s systems with their modular design enabled easy delivery and assembly within tight and constricted areas. Being highly versatile, KOMBI’s stairs and crossover systems allowed modifications to be carried out on-site, without the necessity for pre-measurements or welded fabrication.

Areas that were virtually inaccessible can now be easily accessed by personnel, improving time efficiencies and increasing worker safety.
