Sanden is introducing two new smaller tank sizes for their heat pumps to suit the needs of small Australian households.

Households with smaller families who are keen to save money with more energy-efficient hot water but don’t have room for a large 315L tank now have new options with the November launch of two smaller tank sizes (160L and 250L) from Sanden Eco Hot Water Heat Pump (HWHP) systems.

Managing Director of Sanden, Mark Padwick comments that the new offering will help smaller families have the chance to save up to 78% on their hot water energy costs. These two new tank sizes mean households of any size can now access Sanden’s energy-efficient hot water solution.

Sanden’s high quality HWHP systems use advanced technology but are available at an affordable cost. All Sanden systems are rated by the Clean Energy Regulator as the most energy efficient hot water heat pump systems available across all five Australian temperature zones.

Sanden Eco’s high level of Small Scale Technology Certificates (STC rebates) will further reduce initial purchase cost while the unit’s efficient operation will deliver significant ongoing savings on hot water energy costs.

Sanden Eco heat pumps with the new 160L tank cater to households with one or two persons who don’t use a lot of hot water and are more likely to have limited space. The 160L tank is also suited to townhouses and ground-floor or large-balcony units that have an outdoor space for the system. The Sanden system can replace an 80-150L conventional electric storage system.

The new 250L tank provides enough hot water for families of two to four members, suiting couples looking to expand their family or offering a smaller option for those who don’t use as much hot water and don’t want a bigger tank. This tank size is the most popular in the Australian hot water market, according to BIS Schrapnel.

Sanden also offers their original 315L tank (in tall or short format), suited to a family of three to six members. This is the most versatile size, appropriate for both large and small families.

Sanden heat pump systems, unlike solar do not rely on clear sunny days, enabling customers to receive their savings in any weather without the need for an expensive electric booster. All Sanden tanks are stainless steel, manufactured in Albury, NSW by Wise Living and backed by a 15-year warranty.
