The Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute of Australia (KBDi) operates on behalf of bathroom and kitchen designers by providing them with direction and a representative voice within the broader community.

KBDi is recognised as the bathroom and kitchen designer industry’s premier institute, and membership enhances each designer’s credibility within the industry.

This is because each and every member mustoperate in accordance with the institute's Code of Ethics, which require that they operate in a professional manner, provide superior bathroom and kitchen design services and use quality products.

The institute aims to promote its members to consumers by featuring articles and advertisements in kitchen and bathroom magazines, appearing at home building shows and providing promotional materials for use in display centres.

Furthermore, each member receives a free listing on the institute's official website. This provides them with exposure to individuals who require the services of bathroom and/or kitchen designers.

It also ensures members receive regular industry updates, product news and event information via its fortnightly e-mag, which is distributed to over 5,500 people.

The institute offers Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and Certified Bathroom Designer (CBD) programs, which recognise excellence in bathroom and kitchen design. They are available to those members who meet the appropriate criteria and engage in continued professional development.

Recognised as the premier awards program for kitchen and bathroom designers, the KBDi annual Kitchen and Bathroom Designer awards are organised by the institute in order to recognise the outstanding work of its members.

The institute organises a range of events designed to provide members with the opportunity to enhance their professional skills and knowledge, as well as form relationships with others involved in the bathroom and kitchen designers industry.
