Available from Just Mats , Ecoglo stair treads have been installed in diverse environments for increased safety of users.

Ecoglo stair treads consist of photoluminescent strips that recycle existing light at zero cost and offer a bright glowing light to provide safe guidance for people. Activated by natural or artificial light sources, these stair treads provide superior edge definition with no electricity required. The glow in the dark strip is visible for many hours after the lights go out.

Containing photoluminescent and anti slip material, Ecoglo stair treads are slightly less bright than other Ecoglo products.

Ecoglo’s range of stair treads was recently installed in the school auditorium at St Philip’s Christian College in Newcastle to enable staff, students and visitors to walk safely.

The selected range included the Ecoglo F8171 and F8111 stair treads with the F8111 stair nosing installed in the school auditorium. These stair treads feature a highly visible tread with bull nose, designed to clearly define the step edge and reduce slips and falls in all weather conditions.

In addition to emergency situations where they function as a source of supplementary light, Ecoglo anti slip stair treads are ideal for locations with daytime visibility difficulties caused by glare in the environment, visual reflectance and specular properties of stair treads. Photoluminescent systems can provide step edge contrast to overcome visibility issues and ensure good contrast in light, dark or dim conditions.

Additionally, many steps can be just too hard to see during the day or night as the edges merge visually into each other creating a ramp effect. Ecoglo provides superior step edge visibility when the lights are on to enable users to walk safely.

During emergency situations, especially blackouts or when the lights are dimmed or off, Ecoglo’s high performance glow in the dark technology ensures safe visibility on the steps.
