Dorf takes tapware design to a new level, using colour to create trendy and bold statement pieces.

The combination of an industrial aesthetic and colour was one of the strongest emerging trends taking hold at this year’s ISH fair in Frankfurt, the world’s biggest bathroomware showcase. These trends confirm that the bathroom space will not only be about functionality and technological innovations, but personal imagination as well.

Marylou Paino, trend forecaster and interior designer at CM Design, explains that Dorf’s new Industrie basin mixer captures this signature style and personal energy. For instance, only chrome or stainless steel is typically used to achieve the minimalist aesthetic. Though this is still popular, there is a noticeable shift towards careful and considered use of colours such as black, white and even red.

The industrial theme has seen stylists, budding interior designers and creative, style-conscious homeowners alike confidently integrating statement tapware into their upcoming bathroom projects. According to Marylou, the new trend brings a bold focal point to the bathroom.

Dorf’s Industrie basin mixers and tower basin mixers feature twin tap handles in a choice of red, black or white; quality European internals including ¼-turn ceramic discs, concealed aerators and Ultraflex PEX hoses for superior durability and flexibility; and a smart design to deliver Dorf’s signature craftsmanship.

To demonstrate their confidence in the quality craftsmanship of all Dorf tapware, the Dorf residential warranty has been increased to an industry-leading 20 years.

Dorf tapware is available in Australia from GWA Group.
