Fujitsu General announces the appointment of Peter Cashel and John Bourke to its Australian team. Peter Cashel has been appointed national dealer and commercial manager, while John Bourke joins as the new national product manager.

According to Dave Smith, general manager - sales and marketing, Fujitsu General Australia, as a leader in air conditioning, the company is proud to support and help its employees develop their careers. Describing the appointments as natural progression for both Cashel and Bourke, given their extensive knowledge of the Fujitsu General range as well as the broader air conditioning industry, he expressed confidence that they will continue to help grow the Fujitsu General Australia business.

Stepping into the role recently vacated by Jim Ayre, Cashel will be responsible for growing the company’s dealer and commercial network.

Joining Fujitsu General more than 18 years ago as an apprentice air conditioning technician, Cashel transitioned into the role of internal product support in 2002, becoming national product manager in 2008. Cashel is an active contributor to industry bodies including Refrigerant Reclaim Australia, The Consumer Electronics Suppliers Association, and the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia, where he is an Executive Committee member.

John Bourke has been at Fujitsu General for nearly 15 years, commencing as an apprentice electronics technician for its plasma television range in 2000. Bourke began his apprenticeship as an air conditioning technician when the company moved away from the plasma business in 2006. Gradually moving into a VRF support technician role where he provided field technical support, product commissioning and technical training to the business, Bourke was promoted to the position of Fujitsu Assist Manager in 2013, overseeing the company’s field service and customer care teams.

The new appointments are effective as of 16 November 2015.
