Automatic Heating supplied a Thermex storage tank and a Duraflex expansion tank to the 5×4 Hayes Lane Project in Melbourne.

The 5×4 Hayes Lane Project is an innovative project in East Melbourne that aims to successfully construct an energy efficient residential dwelling to accommodate two people. Automatic Heating is an official Project Partner of the project, which has been named after the physical constraints imposed on the tiny 5m x 4m plot of land. The residential unit features a whole of house, energy recovery ventilation system.

Automatic Heating supplied free of charge, a 170L Thermex storage tank and an 18L Duraflex expansion tank to support the home’s ground-coupled heat pump system.

Managing Director Nick Waite explained that Automatic Heating liked the idea of supporting a unique initiative such as the 5×4 Hayes Lane Project that showcased methods to reduce the ecological footprint of buildings. He added that the objectives of the project aligned with the company’s philosophy of sustainable design and energy efficiency.
