Ventilation and sunscreen specialist Arcadia was engaged by Cottee Parker Architects and Probuild to design, engineer, manufacture and install a custom facade at the iconic Ritz Carlton hotel.

The complex facade design had a cobble effect, which was an important element of the building’s architecture and was achieved using 7500 individual panels in a range of powdercoat colours, angles and depths.

The striking facade element was also required to provide the necessary natural ventilation for the car park beyond the facade.

For the Ritz Carlton project, Arcadia carried out the design, manufacture and installation of Zest Sunblades and Muse perforated metal panels for solar shading, screening and heat reduction, as well as Spur mechanical and weatherproof fixed louvre systems for ventilation, across two buildings all the way from the ground floor up to the plant room areas on Level 23.
