The louvre system from Vergola (NSW) was chosen for an eco-house in Strickland St, Rose Bay.

Built by builder/project manager Cameron Rosen in close association with architect Caroline Pidcock and thermal modeller Graham Hunt, the eco-house incorporated passive design, thermal comfort zoning, smart insulation strategies, innovative building materials, energy and water efficiency, permaculture, and clever solutions to make a truly sustainable home.

Cameron Rosen, Managing Director, Australian Living explains that the Vergola louvre system was integrated into the design to help control the thermal heart of the home by allowing the louvres to be opened to follow the winter sun or shut to block out the summer sun.

Pointing out advantages such as the prefabricated design and quick installation, Cameron adds that the Vergola louvre system allows them to create the perfect outdoor/indoor living environment well protected from all the elements.
