The Central South Yarra apartments in Melbourne, Victoria combine striking architectural design and commanding views with innovative construction methods to create a true residential landmark against the spectacular backdrop of the city’s skyline.

Spanning 30 floors and featuring a stunning façade, the building is designed to maximise views from each apartment to the city, Port Phillip Bay and the Dandenong Ranges. Located in Melbourne’s most cosmopolitan suburb, Central South Yarra, the residential apartments feature modular prefabricated bathrooms that were built offsite on an assembly line and integrated with the construction onsite.

Bathrooms for the 357 apartments were built using the ‘Sync Building System’, a technology that ensures bathrooms are constructed to a higher quality standard while reducing the fitout time when compared to traditional methods.

Electric instantaneous hot water systems from Stiebel Eltron Australia have been installed in the modular bathrooms. The compact design and simple connection of Stiebel DEL 18/27 electric instantaneous water heaters allow for installation in bathroom cupboards, working well with the modular design and maximising usable space in the apartments.

The Central South Yarra apartments were designed by Rothelowman and Plus Architecture for McCormack Associates Consultants Pty Ltd, and built by the Hickory Group.
