JC Bordelet’s first brush with fame happened in 1982 when he presented at a Parisian Trade Show, designing and showcasing a completely open, central fireplace lacquered in vibrant blue and suspended from the ceiling. Since then, the company has established themselves as the avant-garde masters in wood fireplace design, integrating colour and spectacular metal techniques.
JC Bordelet’s designer wood fireplaces are handcrafted by experienced and passionate craftspeople. The only fireplaces using 4mm thick steel for durability and performance, the range offers ease of use and maintenance with all Bordelet suspended fireplaces supplied standard with grates and ash containers.
Every suspended fireplace begins its life in the sketch rooms of Bordelet and is personalised by their designers for a unique and exceptionally finished product, with only a limited number of pieces being made worldwide each year.
Hanging wood fireplaces with glass surrounds can be used with the glass open for decorative purposes, or closed for functional reasons; they can also take large sized logs, and have viewing areas to be enjoyed from 180 degrees to 360 degrees. For ease of use and maintenance, all Bordelet suspended fireplaces come standard with grates and ash containers.
The top components of the suspended fireplaces are fixed to the ceilings and roof cavities with brackets, and are custom made to each unit ensuring ease of installation.
