Louvre windows from Safetyline Jalousie in an aluminium and glass combination were selected for the outdoor dining area created at The Grand Hotel Labrador, QLD.

Safetyline Jalousie was selected for the popular Queensland pub in conjunction with the Vergola opening and closing louvre roof system. Having decided to expand the outdoor areas, the owners of the venue sought to create a large outdoor room that could be flexibly opened in warm weather to capture the sun as well as the sea breezes, and also be closed and fully secured outside of trading hours.

This outdoor room features banks of Safetyline Jalousie louvres instead of a wall, fitted from floor to the Vergola roof, and wrapped around the perimeter of the space. Once the Vergola and framing work was completed, the prefabricated louvre windows were quickly and easily fitted into the openings.

Safetyline Jalousie louvres combined with the Vergola roof system have helped create a vibrant outdoor dining space set amongst manicured gardens with breath-taking broadwater views.

Safetyline Jalousie supplied louvre windows measuring 2224mm (16 blades) and 2899mm (21 blades) in height, and 820mm – 1100mm in width. Featuring a clear anodised finish, the windows incorporate 6mm clear toughened/ anodised aluminium louvres and employ a standard lever operation.
