Three products from Rondo were specified for the Wynn Palace project, a $4.1 billion gaming hub being built for Wynn Resorts in Macau, China.

Located on the Cotai Strip in Macau, the Wynn Palace is being built by Leighton Contractor (Asia) Limited on a site area measuring over 450,000 square metres. When complete, this project will be the world’s largest gaming hub for Wynn Resorts.

Rondo products used in the Wynn Palace project included the WALK-ABOUT trafficable ceiling system, steel stud drywall framing system, and KEY-LOCK ceiling system.

Rondo’s drywall steel stud partition systems were supplied for the podium, gaming areas and the hotel tower. The specially designed and supplied maintenance WALK–ABOUT trafficable ceiling systems were also installed as per project requirements.

Rondo’s products met the compliance requirements of the project, which called for products to comply with the American Standard Testing Method (ASTM) requirements as well as the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification.

The Rondo Malaysia Technical Team, which was responsible for the project, ensured that all the systems and materials used in the project met the required compliance requirements.

The Wynn Palace project is the largest single supply contract for Rondo and is worth over $20 million in value. Rondo supplied over 90 different products from 6 different countries. By the time of completion, the project would have involved over 1000 sea container movements.
