The Tatami Shower System, available from Parisi Bathware comprises ceramic shower bricks enclosed in a polymer tray. The bricks are inspired by Japanese Tatami flooring systems and provide a genuine alternative to conventional tiles.
The shower bricks are non-slip and provide a foot massage while showering. Water passes under the brick and flows to the centrally located waste outlet within the container.
The ceramic shower bricks have a rippled surface that is glazed on the top and sides. Their dimensions are 690mm x 340mm and they are white. They are positioned into place within the container with the assistance of moulded lugs in the tray. The bricks are easy to remove and clean.
The waterproofing membrane is required to be brought into the container as per standard shower tray installations. If necessary, the edge of the tiles can then be finished off with a steel angle.
