MakMax Australia supplied a fabric membrane structure for the new hybrid cooling tower at The University of Queensland’s Gatton campus.

An innovation from The University of Queensland, the new hybrid cooling tower technology has the capability to transform electricity generation, making it cheaper and more reliable for drought-affected areas. The technology allows for the study and development of new methods to reduce water consumption in thermal power generation.

MakMax Australia was chosen to engineer, fabricate and install the fabric membrane structure for the cooling tower. The project was another industry first for the MakMax Team.
