Lawn Solutions Australia has brought together Australia’s leading accredited turf producers under a single banner to simplify specifying and buying for customers.

Seen as a game-changer for turf buyers, the launch of the new national group of turf growers in March 2014 will ensure industry best practice and a uniformly branded range of turf, taking the Australian turf industry to a new level of professionalism.

This initiative by Lawn Solutions Australia will bring together the collective wisdom and knowledge of Australia’s leading accredited turf producers, including some with 30-plus years of experience to supply nationally branded turf varieties, as well as a range of value-add products and services. The group will also eliminate the current confusion among specifiers and customers about turf varieties and brands in the market.

The group and its exclusive turf brands have been developed off the back of the success of Australia’s leading soft-leaf buffalo variety, Sir Walter. All the members of the new group are Sir Walter growers, and are promising the same ‘gold standard’ of performance in a new range of turf brands, lawn care products and services.

Lawn Solutions Australia Business Manager Simon Adermann explains there are currently nearly 70 turf varieties in the Australian market, with more on the way. While each member of the group will grow and sell the most appropriate turf varieties for their local regions, they will be marketed under uniform, national brand names, making it a lot easier for commercial industry bodies to specify turf, particularly for state-wide or national tenders and supply contracts.

The Lawn Solutions Australia ‘house of brands’ includes Sir Walter soft-leaf buffalo; Nullarbor Couch Commercial, Nullarbor Sport, Nullarbor Home; Platinum Zoysia; Eureka Kikuyu; Tropical Carpet Grass; and RTF Fescue.

To further assist commercial customers, architects and national specifiers, Lawn Solutions Australia growers will also supply a range of value-added products including Turfgro premium turf underlay; The Big Green Bag offering compost, bark, stones and soil for those smaller, harder to access areas; and, a wide range of lawn care products.

The group is also setting a new benchmark for direct customer service through The Turf Guy, a mobile customer service provider that will make small turf deliveries, provide quotes and measure up jobs, arrange for turf installation, supply fertiliser and other lawn care products, and generally make sure customers are getting everything they need by way of support.
