ISM Objects introduces a new handcrafted range of pendant lights made from porcelain.
The new Stippled Porcelain collection is a unique pendant lighting range developed collaboratively between Australian designers and manufacturers of contemporary lighting, ISM Objects and ceramicist Steven McClure.
Proudly handcrafted in Melbourne of ‘Southern Ice’, the Stippled Porcelain range captures the fluidity, colour and texture of this locally made material.
The Stippled Porcelain collection is available in four different styles - cone, slim, squat and crumpled – with each style name representing the shape. McClure chose Melbourne-made Southern Ice Porcelain for the pendants for the material’s translucence and beautiful warmth when lit from within.
Celina Clarke and Simon Christopher, lighting designers and co-founders of ISM Objects have long been committed to partnering with Australian designers in the design and development of lighting ranges. Stippled Porcelain is however, their first venture with an Australian craftsperson.
