Glassworks Australia announces the availability of LoĒ³-340 glass designed for use in commercial or residential windows, and Green Star projects.

LoĒ³-340 glass produces a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) figure of 0.18, the lowest of any stocked and readily available glass in Australia. Unlike competitor products where the visibility is compromised, the LoĒ³-340 glass achieves a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) figure of 38%, well within the desired range of 30-40% for commercial projects.

LoĒ³-340 glass assists buildings with western elevations achieve energy ratings, without screens and overhangs, allowing for more architectural freedom and reduced costs. The external reflectivity is only 11%, making it highly beneficial for building permits.

LoĒ³-340 also comes standard with Neat technology, a self-cleaning coating activated by harnessing the sun’s rays, making it a low energy/low maintenance glass.

Available in blue/grey tint colours, LoĒ³-340 glass keeps buildings warm in winter and cool in summer. The glass allows low interior and exterior reflectance, which is critical for building permits and comfort. Unlike conventional tinted glass, the LoĒ³-340 glass doesn’t spoil the view.

Being locally stocked by Glassworks, the glass is available on short lead times.
