Airblade Tap hand dryers from Dyson were installed in the washrooms of the iconic Coca-Cola London Eye to improve the overall experience for users. One of the UK’s most famous landmarks, the London Eye has welcomed over 50 million visitors since opening in March 2000.

Commenting on the poor washroom experience, architect Rob Osborne explained that the existing toilets were very tired and didn’t match the iconic feel of the London Eye. The washrooms were fitted with outdated conventional hand dryers, which looked low-tech, caused queues to build up due to long dry times, and resulted in water on the washroom floor as customers moved from the sink to the dryer.

Dyson’s Airblade Tap hand dryer was identified as the perfect solution to address all three issues with the existing products.

Cleaner washrooms

The Airblade technology in the tap allows hands to be washed and dried at the sink, eliminating any possibility of water dripping on the floor.

Faster dry times

Thanks to a 12-second dry time, customers don’t have to wait for long in the washroom, and no longer have to leave with damp hands.

More space

With the integrated hand washing and drying facility, Dyson’s Airblade Tap hand dryers save valuable washroom space.
