With the construction market strong, navigating material and colour choice is becoming an increasingly time-critical task for industry professionals.

Forecasters from the likes of Housing Industry Association and BIS Oxford Economics say they are optimistic about both the duration of the current residential building boom and a bumper year for major non-residential projects is forecast for 2018. With that the prospect of increased business for design and construction professional’s points to a burgeoning need for suppliers to provide clients with clear and comprehensive product collateral to support – and, ultimately, expedite – the specification process.

In response to this strong market commentary, Dulux has unveiled its new Dulux World of Colour® Powder Coat Series Colour Selectors and Swatches. Created specifically for design and construction professionals, the cards showcase all 13 Dulux Powder Coating collections.

They also look to simultaneously demystify some of the common misconceptions surrounding powder coatings. Specifically, they look to address the tendency to consider powder coatings in the same way as traditional paints, despite their unique properties and applications. As a result, the selectors communicate the full range of product benefits and key specification details, including warranty information, industry standards certifications and clarity of the finish and the technology behind the coating.

“The Dulux World of Colour® Powder Coat Series presents specifiers with more colour options than ever before,” says Steve Barnard, Marketing Manager for Dulux Powders & Industrial Coatings. “With this in mind, the new cards clearly highlight the differences between each collection to enable industry professionals to successfully identify and select the products best suited to their project and environmental needs.”

By exploring the Powder Coat Series in conjunction with the World of Colour Series II Atlas, specifiers can scheme whole projects across a multitude of Dulux coatings.

Each of the 13 colour collections in the series is specific to its own Dulux Powder Coat range. Among the unique collections is the Electro range – coatings with an anodised look designed to subtly change their appearance in line with the light conditions – and the tactile Surreal Effects range.

If the right colour can’t be found within a particular product range, Dulux also offers custom powders made to order from the Atlas.

“Ultimately, our colour guides are about making the lives of design and trade professionals easier,” continues Steve Barnard, Marketing Manager for Dulux Powders & Industrial Coatings “We’re here to give them the ultimate choice of colours and finishes, while making sure those options are simple to navigate, all to achieve that perfect finish.”
