There are sound economic reasons for investing in digital art displays for reception areas or prestigious office building lobbies.  Companies stand to gain. Property owners stand to gain.

In reception areas such a display can help companies create a better first impression for both prospective customers and employees. Either outcome can potentially justify the necessary investment. All businesses need customers, and recruitment is a high priority for many, especially prestigious law or accountancy firms.

For property owners, such a display can help increase rental values and do so for a tiny fraction of what the property is worth overall. In fact it is hard to think of an outlay of similar value for a component added to a commercial building that could hope to provide a better return.

It is expected the floodgates are about to open for digital art displays in such locations, and that the vast majority of them will be new generation direct view LED arrays. Recent advances in technology allow these new generation screens to be deployed up close. Assembled LED screens are now silent and run cool, and the best of them are safer electrically as well. But it is the advent of the tighter pixel pitch arrays that will have the most profound impact. This allows screens to be located much closer to viewers and be successfully deployed floor to ceiling.

What Ci can do is be useful at every stage of such a project, from helping designers specify the right screen for the purpose and location right through to arranging continued supply of curated artwork.

Ci is able to offer all the leading LED display brands as needed: Samsung, LG, Panasonic, NEC, VideroLED, and more, as well as the astonishing new Crystal screen from Sony.  Matching the right screen with the project is all part of the service.

Designers are allowed more creative freedom with LED than with other display technologies. Displays can be various sizes and shapes and don’t necessarily need wall space. Ci is also able to supply all kinds of specialized LED screens, from ceiling tile LED to light transparent.

Screens like the 1.7mm pitch example shown are able to display content in hi definition for viewing up close.  But you can also do amazing things with an art display screen where the pixels are much further apart providing the content is suitable.

But there is no denying that the new tight pitch displays are what will accelerate use of LED screens indoors. New screens like this can be installed in confined spaces and legacy LCD video walls appear dull in comparison.  Interactivity can also be added if required.
