CASF Australia has announced the winners of Edition 2 of the Corian Design Awards Twenty17 for Outstanding Design.

Canberra Shopping Centre

Corian was used in a cladding application in a custom colour at the Canberra Shopping Centre. Mather Architecture specified Corian to modernise the central concourse of the Ainslie Mall. The Corian material was used to profile existing columns and fabricated into an intricate spandrel form.

Corian was selected for its low maintenance and easy cleaning properties as well as its seamless finish and design flexibility.

Solstice

A beachside dwelling in Adelaide, Solstice was designed by Damian Campagnaro of DCA Architecture. Corian was used to create an 8-metre long homogenous kitchen benchtop with an integrated sink. Corian’s Glacier White colour was selected for the application.

According to the architect Damian Campagnaro, Corian allowed a fantastic marriage between idea, form and functionality.
