Framing and door systems from Capral Aluminium were installed in a beachside home located 90 minutes south of Melbourne to open up great ocean views while ensuring privacy and security.

Designed by Steve Hatzellis and built by Vleugel+, the Paradise Drive home is situated on an impressive beachside site adjacent to St Andrews Beach and the Mornington Peninsula national park. The peninsula house has been designed in response to the unique site conditions as well as the client’s brief. Environmental, planning, topographical, visual, and climatic site conditions were mapped, analysed and integrated into a set of design constraints that responded to these dynamic conditions.

Organised as a 3D spiral, the house creates both internalised and expansive views, allowing privacy, visual adjacency and a protected outdoor space typical of courtyard house typologies. Capral framing systems including AGS 419 Flushline help frame the views, Capral AGS 200 hinged doors provide an access point to the expansive outdoor deck platform, and Capral Artisan folding doors bring the outside into the home. All Capral systems featured Interpon Ultriva Anodic Steller Bronze finish.
