Sliding glass doors and strategically placed horizontal and vertical windows from Capral Aluminium are helping maximise the beautiful views from a family beach house on St. Andrew's Beach in Victoria.

Looking out over the wild waters of the Bass Strait, this family beach house, designed by Perkins Architects as a careful response to the site and its surroundings, features generously scaled living spaces that maximise the views of the rugged landscape through Capral AGS 889 sliding doors, which open up to the external environment.

Additionally, horizontal and vertical windows in both linear and corner configurations capture particular views; the detailing of the windows gives the impression of the house being deeply embedded in the surrounding landscape.

Key features of the St. Andrew's Beach House also include an entry stair hovering within a glass box; and robust and natural materials used to further camouflage the building in its surroundings.

Products used in the beach house construction include Capral AGS aluminium framing and Capral AGS 889 sliding door (superseded by 900 sliding door) in Evershield Coastal anodising finish.
