Louvre windows from Breezway were installed in a stylish new home in Brisbane’s Carina Heights to capture the fresh breeze and ventilate the living areas.

Offering expansive city views from its elevated position, this modern award-winning home was designed by Tim Christopher of the Christopher Design Group for a challenging site featuring a steep slope from the street level. To address these challenges, and achieve a stunning design outcome, the home is built over five levels including two split levels and a separate level for the garage.

A suspended bridge serves as the entry to the home and allows direct access into the upper levels from where one can enjoy the city views. The material mix includes Metallic Colorbond cladding, which adds a dynamic element to the home, as the colour changes with the shifting sun.

Breezway louvre windows have been installed near the front entrance of the elegantly designed home to capture fresh breezes to ventilate and flow throughout the main living areas.

Some of the design awards won by the home include the 2015 BDAQ Sunshine Coast Region Home of the Year and the 2015 BDAQ State Home of the Year, both in the 1-2M category. The home was also placed as finalist in the National NABD Design Awards 2015.
