Altair louvre windows from Breezway were installed at a newly constructed farmhouse in Queensland, Australia.

Designed by Shaun Lockyer Architects, the Hinterland House takes its inspiration from the stunning ridge lines surrounding the site as well as the vertical rhythm of the towering eucalypts occurring naturally in the landscape.

Some of the design features in this contemporary interpretation of a farmhouse include solid hardwood construction, soft hues reflecting the colours of the mountains, a long country verandah, and trussed internal spaces all contributing to a relaxed atmosphere for the residents.

Altair louvre windows have been incorporated into the main living areas up high to allow hot air to escape quickly and cool air to flow in and maintain a comfortable environment in the room.
