Blum was recognised at the recent Allied Timber Trade Awards at Lidcombe College, TAFE N.S.W. for its supply of hardware and boring machines.

The event saw Blum receive both a Certificate of Appreciation and a Gold Sponsor Certificate.

The company was acknowledged for providing Minipress P and Minipress Pro hardware and boring machines to the Allied Timber Trades section of Lidcombe TAFE.

They were also praised for teaching students how to use the hardware and boring machines, and for assisting them in constructing and completing their projects.

Warren Peters, Head Teacher of the Cabinetmaking Section at Lidcombe College, TAFE explains “this partnership with Blum provides an opportunity for apprentices from the cabinet making, shop fitting and woodworking trade areas to gain exposure to the Blum Minipress machine systems and the use of Blum hardware including hinge and drawer runner systems.”

Adin Elton, Blum State Sales Manager received the awards on behalf of the company, and explained that the company was very honoured to receive such recognition.

“Receiving these awards means a lot to Blum. We pride ourselves on providing the industry, not only with quality product, but the training and know how in implementing products that are commonly used in today’s furniture and kitchens,” explains Elton.

Elton notes that Blum will continue to work in conjunction with TAFE N.S.W in order to assist students, by ensuring they receive high-quality training and are equipped with up to date industry knowledge.

The annual Allied Timber Trades Awards Night aims to recognise the achievements of graduating apprentices and award winners from the Allied Timber Trades section.

Special awards are also given to students for outstanding achievements.
