The Australian Shop & Office Fitting Industry Association (ASOFIA) recently honoured 15 companies at the Interior Fitout Awards, presented at the gala dinner of ASOFIA’s conference held in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Sponsored by major industry supplier, The Laminex Group, the 8th Interior Fitout Awards gave shopfitters and office fitters the opportunity to be recognised by their peers for their exceptional work.

A rigorous judging process preceded the event and involved three independent judges travelling all over Australia to physically view the finished project sites and grade them according to specific criteria.

Gerard Ryan, CEO, ASOFIA says this rigorous process ensures the winners of each category truly deserve the awards.

Ryan says that the Interior Fitout Awards program has helped to lift the standards expected of the industry as established and newer companies are celebrated for their professional workmanship.

A new category was introduced this year for ‘Unique Use of Recycled Material’.

New ASOFIA member company Crosbie Projects won this award for their work on Prema Salon Surry Hills.

An ‘Exceptional Contribution’ Award was created this year for the work done on the shopfront of the Prada store at Chadstone Shopping Centre by Australian Professional Shopfitters.
