Join Australia’s leading interior and soft furnishings companies for a peek into the latest interior trends, fashions and innovations at Decoration + Design, a major feature of the 2007 Australian International Furniture Fair at the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour on 7-9 February 2007.

For the first time Decoration + Design will be a major feature of the Sydney event and will bring together soft furnishing and interior exhibitors from around the country. It will also feature My Space, challenging designers to layout and furnish small rooms according to a set theme.

New releases on show at Decoration + Design will include fabrics, soft furnishings, objets d’art, lamps and lighting, throws, rugs, cushions and other home décor from exhibitors including Hermon & Hermon, Sartori, Citi Design, Art Lounge, Baubridge & Kay, Mayne, Mercator, Wall Candy, Interior Art Images, Cruz, Verve and Bholu.

My Space features 10 interior designers, who will weave their decorating magic on petite rooms, according to three nominated themes expected to drive the industry in the next two years – Urban Chic, Rustic Chic and Ethnic Chic.

“This stunning feature of Decoration + Design will be a major drawcard for all interior designers and decorators to not only view their colleagues’ talent, but to keep up to date with the new trends,” My Space curator Toni Briggs says.

My Space designers include New York trained Thomas Bucich, of Bucich Interiors and a speaker at the AIFF 2007 International Industry Seminar Series. Thomas’ past decorating projects include Equilibrium Hotel, Wildfire Restaurant, The Quay Apartments Foyer, King Street Wharf Display Units, Madew Vineyards, The Rolling Stones 1995 Ritz Carlton Suites and private residences in Australia and New York.
