Designers and lighting experts are using white LEDs to create unique environments in commercial applications where intense or subtle variations of light can be achieved. However, standard acrylic diffusers are not suitable for the intense concentration of light generated by these LEDs.

Allplastics Engineering introduces Perspex Spectrum LED, a specialist cast acrylic sheet with optimised colour performance specially created to meet the needs of today’s sign market. These acrylic sheets allow sign makers, specifiers and designers to maximise the benefits of LEDs and create elegant solutions that deliver cost and environmental efficiencies as well as enhanced intensity and colour.

Optimised for use with white LEDs, the 11 standard colours that make up the Perspex Spectrum LED range have a bold intense reflected colour in daylight, and can be used to create bright, evenly illuminated signs, with a slim profile free from hot spots thanks to their excellent diffusing power.

Perspex Spectrum LED is a highly versatile material designed to suit any illuminated application including point of sale, luminaires, directional systems, interior design and architectural installations.

Key features of Perspex Spectrum LED acrylic sheets include consistent bold colour when illuminated; optimised for white LEDs; standard range of colours; excellent outdoor weathering and durability; and Perspex’s 10-year guarantee.

The acrylic sheets are available in Opal/White, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Red, Green and Blue colours in a standard size of 3050mm x 2030mm and a 3mm thickness.

Recently Allplastics supplied the Events Cinema chain in Sydney with Red Spectrum LEDs, which were expertly designed and installed by JCS Joinery. Additionally, the Allplastics fabrication team provided a range of custom made displays for the section displaying confectionery.
