Allplastics Engineering offers a specially-coated range of clear polycarbonate sheets featuring a highly abrasion resistant surface that almost approaches glass in performance.

Designed for transparent applications, the two polycarbonate brands, Lexan MR10 and Makrolon AR2 are available in various thicknesses including 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 9.5mm and 12.7mm. Both polycarbonate sheets are backed by manufacturer’s warranties against abrasion, coating failure and breakage.

Makrolon AR2 polycarbonate sheets deliver enhanced UV resistance to prevent yellowing and hazing, also protecting the investment in high profile architectural glazing projects by providing a longer service life.

Being unbreakable and abrasion resistant, these polycarbonate sheets are recommended for security glazing in police stations; anti-vandal viewing panels in transport stations and public venues; earthmoving machinery windows; forestry equipment; ship portholes; railway double glazing; and heavy duty guards among many more.

The mar-resistant coating on this polycarbonate variety prevents cold-forming, making it suitable only for flat applications.

Key properties of Allplastics’ polycarbonate sheets include abrasion resistance, impact resistance, optical clarity, UV resistance, chemical resistance and light weight.

The polycarbonate sheets are ideal for security glazing, bus shelters, balustrades, entrance doors, boat hatches and portholes, skylights, storefronts, excavator windows, and flat machine guards among others.

The clear polycarbonate sheets are available in 2440 x 1220mm and 2440 x 1830mm sizes as standard.
